En este episodio, Pablo Montaño, politólogo y activista climático nos habla de la importancia del poder crear nuevas narrativas como una de las respuestas para impulsar los cambios necesarias y la exigencia de los mismos para contrarrestar la presente crisis climática. Pablo subrayó la importancia de comunicar la crisis climática actual y así como todos los temas asociados a ésta, ya que nada escapa al cambio climático. Nos platicó al comunicar los desafíos presentes (agua, alimentos, energía, etc.) lo hace con una mirada optimista, destacando la interconexión de la escala local y global, las luchas activas existentes para defender los territorios y sobre todo presentando a las personas que las resisten y las visiones de futuros deseados de parte de éstas. Finalmente nos hace un llamado a los diseñadores a que, como parte de nuestra labor, contribuyamos a la materialización de dichas visiones de futuros deseables de forma inspiradora, atractiva y de manera convincente.

In this episode, Pablo Montaño, a political scientist and climate activist, talks with us about the importance of being able to create new narratives as one of the responses to promote the necessary changes, as well as the demand for those, to counteract the current climate crisis. Since nothing escapes climate change, Pablo stressed the importance of communicating the current climate crisis and all the issues associated with it. He told us how when communicating the current challenges (water, food, energy, etc.), he does so with an optimistic outlook, highlighting the interconnection of the local and global scale, the active existing struggles to defend the territories and, above all, by presenting the people who they resist them and the visions of futures desired on their part. He finally calls us designers to, as part of our work, contribute to the materialization of these visions for desirable futures in an inspiring, attractive and convincing manner.
