The past few days I’ve spent a lot of time contemplating life, staring at my reflection.
I used to have a fish pond at my parents house. It was filled with Koi. They used to stay pretty small since it was a small pond, and they’d eat the algae at the bottom. Sadly most of them are dead now, because of a stork that kept coming through and eating them. It’s Reflections in the Water, written by David Tomblin and aired on July 24, 1971.
Show-notes:
9:43: This little piece of trivia comes directly from the Gerry Anderson wiki page on Reflections in the Water.
19:00: The fact that this is the last episode broadcast somehow seems remarkably prescient given the announcement at the end of our episode. (Editor’s note: *shrieking emoji*)
24:56: We revisited Keys of Marinus at one point, and you should go and check it out.
25:11: I genuinely don’t know which Blake’s 7 episode Kiyan is talking about. I mean, I remember it, I just don’t remember the name at all. (Editor’s note: I’m pretty sure it was Dawn of the Gods. Also, check out our Blake’s 7 podcast, Zenith: A Blake’s 7 Podcast.)
38:00: I’ll let Kiyan link this one. Gotta give him something to do. (Editor’s note: here it is, Jaden’s legendary tweet. One for the ages if we’re being honest.)
43:40: Check out our Doctor Who podcast, Trust Your Doctor: A Doctor Who Podcast. While it lasts.
45:21: Dylan commentary: I’m emotional just editing this episode and I’ve gotta do this another four more times still. (Editor’s note: buckle up.)
