And he said, “This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.” 22 And the water has remained pure ever since, just as Elisha said.” 2 Kings 2:20-22 (NLT) TO AVOID BECOMING POLLUTED BY TOXIC INFLUENCES, REMEMBER THAT… 1. Even If Everyone Does It, Doesn't Make It Right “Do not conform to the pattern of this world…” Romans 12:2 (NIV) “Do not become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking…” Romans 12:2 (MSG) 3. Just Because I Can, Doesn't Mean I Should “You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.” 1 Corinthians 6:12 (NLT) “Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” 1 Timothy 4:2 (NIV) “These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel in the wilderness east of the Jordan—that is, in the Arabah—opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Dizahab. 2 (It takes eleven days to go from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea by the Mount Seir road.)” Deuteronomy 1:1-2 A - Automatic N - Negative T - Thoughts 1. Or in this wilderness! 3 Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” Numbers 14:1-3 (NIV) 2. Looser Mentality “But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” Numbers 13:31 (NIV) ............................
