Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Music journalist Allison Rapp has written extensively about Elvis Costello’s music.
She’s reviewed a wide variety of EC gigs, including 2023’s residency at the Gramercy Theatre in New York, and a memorable performance at the opening of the Bob Dylan Center. Allison also revisited My Aim Is True on the 45th anniversary of its release for Ultimate Classic Rock.
