In today's episode, there are over 14,000 pending asylum-seeker applications from Syrian nationals waiting to be assessed, the UNHCR confirmed on Tuesday as the EU Commission said any efforts to return Syrians to their home country must be done under the watch of the UN.

Meanwhile, police on Tuesday were investigating an incident during which hooded men climbed up traffic cameras in Limassol and spray painted their lense.

Elsewhere, the presidential palace coughed up almost €60,000 on catering and restaurants in 2023.
