Dr Anne Carruthers is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Modern Languages at Newcastle University where she teaches film studies. Her research interests lie in phenomenologies, narrative, and close textual analysis, and she has published on how pregnancy, the pregnant body, and the physical are explored in film.
