Welcome back to Crying In My Car, a podcast for teachers! Join our hosts Devin Siebold and James Yon where they take a walk down memory lane and discuss prom – a night of glitz, glamor, and... crippling expenses? From the corsage to the limo, there are so many hidden costs in prom, and they're breaking down some of the craziest ones. They also couldn't help but notice that the dress code for prom is so ridiculous, that even the parents would be dress-coded.

Prom could cost these students a small fortune, you wouldn't believe how high these price tags get! We don't know about you guys, but if our promposal cost as much as a 1999 Toyota Corolla, they would just get a Happy Meal and a ride in our brand new 1999 Toyota Corolla.

By the way - tux rentals, can we get a 2 nights for 1 deal!? We can’t afford to do BOTH prom and graduation with these numbers. Don’t get us started with the ridiculous dress code guidelines. Are students really being celebrated, or are they actually being suppressed by these out-of-date traditions?
