Prosperity Gospel teaching is one of the problems, if not the main problem, of today’s Christianity. It is a teaching that makes prosperity the end pursuit. However, in 1 Timothy 6:3-10, Paul argued that the teaching that godliness is a means to gain is inconsistent with the sound teaching that accords with true godliness, that is, godliness with contentment is a great gain.
