As a Consulting COO, my mission is to keep the Founder/CEO’s plate clear of operational details that are important but tend to be a distraction. I want him or her to be able to focus all of their attention, energy, and passion on creating the best product they can and delivering it to the market. I believe that a business needs a solid foundation on which to grow, but the daily demands of running a business, especially in an early-stage company, force founders and CEOs to be working too much “in the business” and not enough “on the business.” I come alongside these overburdened leaders to create a hedge of protection around them so that they can stay focused on what they do best while knowing that the vital operational details are being handled, and handled well.
