This week's current event casts some shade on the democratic party, using a current congressional candidate as our springboard. Then our historical and philosophical subjects our linked, as we try to wrap our heads around the philosophy of Rousseau and the French Revolution. This helps us tee up a subject we'll be spending more time with in the weeks to come: the American Revolution and American Philosophical Thought (which is not an oxymoron!).
