It's a mid-week edition of the nation's college hoop show and podcast "College Basketball Coast to Coast," as the Ohio State Buckeyes have fired coach Chris Holtman before the end of his seventh season. Why and why now on a coach that's had lots of success in the past? Host T.J. Rives has thoughts on it all.
Then, he welcomes insider/analyst Adam Zagoria back aboard for some Big East talk, again and more. What keeps happening to St. John's late in games? Also, Adam will cover the Seton Hall game Wednesday night with Xavier, as they look to bounce back from a Sunday beating at Villanova. The Hall also has a showdown with St.John's themselves. Adam has more on the conference, including #1 UConn still rolling but playing a huge game with #4 Marquette on Saturday afternoon at home.
T.J. and Adam talk also about how the NCAA Men's selection committee will do their annual "February reveal" of their top 16 teams at the moment coming this Saturday. Committee chair Charles McClelland of the SWAC will also make comments on what they are looking at so far for the likes of UConn, Purdue, Houston, Arizona and others. But, T.J. make a case about the silliness of talking scenarios with still four weeks/8-10 games minimum remaining for almost all the top 100 teams. So much can change in that time.
