Kit Marie and Professor Chris Jackson chill with a non-alcoholic beer and chat about how geography shapes experiences based on who you are, helping black students into higher education, academic pre-prints, twitter trolls, amongst other things! Professor Chris Jackson is Director of Sustainable Geoscience with Jacobs, an organisation that supports sustainable and inclusive futures in fields such as health & life sciences, infrastructure and space. He is co-founder of EarthArXiv, a non-profit preprint server for the Earth Sciences and a trustee of the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation, which raises money for financially disadvantaged Black British students to attend university. Chris is a would-be geoscientist and runner, and lapsed knitter. The Twitter trolls will tell you everything else you need to know about him!
