Corman! Poe! Price! Milland?!? Lovecraft?!? . Roger Corman laid a foundation for his unexpectedly successful series of films based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe with House of Usher in 1960. He put care, thought, and preparation into it, then built from that with future installments. .
