Manage episode 376448440 series 3311165
Today we’re talking about Invisible Disabilities on CCnDoc Talk. Doc plays devil’s advocate (to prove a point) during this meaningful and sometimes humorous discussion about what IS an Invisible Disability and what BIASES we have that impact our ability to be compassionate and understanding to others who have big things going on in their bodies that the outside world can’t see. We also introduce a syndrome called LARS (lower anterior resection syndrome) in this episode. LARS is a common invisible disability for those who have had surgeries for colorectal cancer, ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel diseases.
