In Tennis: The US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Flushing Meadows surpassed one million attendees for the first time in history.
It was also the first time an American man had made a Grand Slam final since Wimbledon 2009.
Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were in the crowd, three days after their NFL season-opening win.
Of course, Kelce was accompanied by girlfriend Taylor Swift, who was also in Kansas City on Thursday.
The final US Open attendance number was 1,048,669, up 8% on last year.
Italian, Sinner and US Open Women’s Champion Aryna Sabalenka each earned US$3.6Million in prizemoney, part of the record US$75M tournament purse.
In Boxing: Remember Alex Leapai? The Samoan warrior fought Wladimir Klitschko in Germany for his World Heavyweight title in 2014 and lost.
Check out his son - 120kg 18-year old with a 210cm wing span, Alex Leapai Jnr is about to make his boxing debut under the bright lights.
In his last amateur fight, he was 15 years old and 110Kg, fought a 20-year-old and stopped him in the second round.
In the NFL: Miami Dolphins receiver, Tyreek Hill scored a spectacular touchdown just hours after being arrested by police in their 17-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hill was arrested by traffic cops near the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami as he drove to the game.
The 30-year-old speedster was filmed lying face down on the road as police officers handcuffed him for what was later described as “a minor traffic violation” before being released without charge.
Geez so what happens if you get stopped for a major traffic violation, and you’re NOT an NFL star?
