Gio doesn’t think the Mets are going to dole out contracts based on the nostalgia of the 2024 team. David Stearns has to look at Pete Alonso as a guy in his 30’s who had a down year and is declining, and he has an agent that is going to get him the most money possible. It will also be interesting to see what the Mets rotation will look like next year. Juan Soto is going to take the most money he can get. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Ravens beating the Bucs, 41-31. The Ravens are 5-2 after starting 0-2. The Cardinals beat the Chargers, but Jim Harbaugh had a Nelson Mandela quote after the game. Bill Belichick said, ‘the Jets are the Jets and Woody’s Woody’. Joe Benigno was on with Evan and Tiki and was not happy with Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, Greg Zuerlein, Sauce Gardner, the defensive line and Jeff Ulbrich. Brian Daboll was asked about the lack of effort by Deonte Banks. Tiki Barber doesn’t want him on the team if that’s the effort he’s giving.
