Ehrman is a distinguished professor of religious studies at UNC - Chapel Hill and the author of "Forgery and Counterforgery: The Use of Literary Deceit in Early Christianity." He appeared later that night, with Karen King and Mark Jordan, at BMI's "Does It Matter If Jesus Was Married?" panel discussion.
