President Biden has said that a National Day of Mourning will be held on 9 January, for former US president Jimmy Carter, who has died at the age of 100. There will be a state funeral held for him. Carter was the only US president to earn the Nobel Peace Prize for his post-presidency work, which he was awarded in 2002.
