In this podcast, we were joined by Andy Howes, Director & Co-Founder of AfroSports, a sports hub connecting sports with fans in Africa & Diaspora across all viewing platforms.
With over 20 years experience in the Pan-African sports space, Andy touched on engaging with local sports and the part they played in distributing the AFCON 2021 Media Rights across Africa, working with the AUB. We also spoke on the relationships between Free-to-air TV vs PayTV, weighing out the pros and cons of both and their uniqueness in the African market.
AfroSport have also launched a 24/7 TV channel in Nigeria, are about to launch in the Caribbean and have also developed an app (‘Optimeyes Africa’) which is an excellent fan engagement platform.
