Long-time Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters, Greg Eno (aka the man who knows a lot of things about a lot of things), and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks! You can now listen to the Knee Jerks on Stitcher, along with iTunes and Blog Talk RadioLike The Knee Jerks on Facebook, and click here to visit our new Facebook discussion group! The official podcast blog can be found at TheKneeJerks.us. It's all Knee Jerks all the time again this week, as Greg and Big Al talk all things Detroit sports. Topics include: With the non-waiver trade deadline quickly approaching, the only deal Tigers' GM Al Avila has made is trading JD Martinez to the Diamondbacks. The market for Justin Verlander has cooled significantly, much in thanks to his large contract, 10/5 status and the team's refusal to eat much salary in any proposed deal. Tomas Tatar inks a new deal, but it leaves the Red Wings capped out. GM Ken Holland must pull off Houdini levels of salary cap maneuvering in order to sign Andreas Athanasiou. The contract statuses of Lions' QB Matthew Stafford and head coach Jim Caldwell remain unsettled. As always, Eno and Big Al also play The Birthday Game and name their Jerk of the Week!
