(Epic journeys) Seven years into a 50,000 mile circumnavigation of the planet without motors of any kind, Markus is now in the Caribbean. He will sail to Florida in late January and head north overland. He plans to hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to the Hudson River, then paddle to the Erie Canal for the final stretch to Toronto, where his journey began in 2015. Routesofchange.org
