On July 13th, 2011 32-year-old Rebecca Zahau was found hanging outside a bedroom balcony, gagged, hands bound behind her back, feet bound, and naked. The man who discovered her was Adam Schacknai the brother of her wealthy boyfriend, Jonah. The day before Jonah's 6-year-old son Max had a tragic accident and fell over the railing in his dad's massive mansion. Rebecca was babysitting but did not see the accident. While Max lay clinging to life in the hospital, According to the Shacknai family, Rebecca hung herself. Max died from his injuries. The San Deigo Sheriff's Department went to where Rebecca's body was found and quickly determined Rebecca committed suicide. CASE CLOSED? WRONG! Enter lawyer Keith Greer. Together with Rebecca's family, they mounted a civil suit against Adam Shacknai claiming he killed her. It did not take the jury long to declare Adam Shacknai "Responsible" for Rebecca's death. Since this was a civil suit an amount was awarded to the family. The Zahau's settled with Adam Shacknai's lawyers for 600 thousand recently. Adam said he did not know about the settlement and he is upset. In a final blow to Shacknai the judge refused to overturn the verdict and grant a new civil trial. With us today to discuss the judge's refusal to grant a new trial and the settlement is Zahau family attorney Keith Greer and Websleuths member Cynic
