Congress has until September 30th to agree on a continuing resolution that will keep the government funded through March of next year. However, after attaching legislation that would require voters to show proof of citizenship, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) delayed a vote on a temporary spending bill in an attempt to build consensus within his party.
