In an industry where there are a thousand and one search firms, choosing the right executive search partner for your startup might be a challenge. Considering many of these search firms don’t even have the expertise or qualifications to hire top talents, recruiting might pose an even bigger challenge as a wrong partnership might result in the loss of time, energy, resources, and even potential finalists. Consequently, having the know-how for the right firm tops the list of to-dos when searching for executives.

Furthermore, in this “measure twice cut once” recruitment business, founders need to find alignment or “mutual truth” with partners concerning their goals and realities.

In this episode of The Gradience Podcast, Nigel is joined by Jose Guardado & Brian Bocchino, Co-Founders at Build Talent.

They cover:

👉 Experiences that shaped Jose and Brian’s ethos when forming Build Talent
👉 Choosing the perfect co-founder; Jose’s and Brian’s superpower in the world of talent acquisition
👉 The spectrum of ability in founders’ ability to hire
👉 What founders should consider when choosing a search firm
👉 Founders’ number one priority and strategy for a strong partnership with a search firm
👉 Common mistakes founders make
👉 Closing strategies for top talents
👉 Founders’ expectations from search firms/partners when closing candidates
👉 The evolution of the talent partner
👉 Advice to young founders about hiring executive/talent within their organization
👉 Landscape change in the talent ecosystem since COVID and remote work
👉 Valuations in the remote talent world
👉 Jose’s and Brian’s hope for the show and firm
