Empowering people to take action through her music, Nani Noam Vazana (https://nanimusic.com), CEO at Why DIY Music (https://whydiymusic.com), Nova Productions and chairwoman of the Amsterdam Artist Collective, is the world's first original Ladino artist well-known for revitalising the ancient Ladino language passed down to her by her Grandmother.
Not only has Vazana composed music for BBC and NPO documentaries, she has been ranked as an iTunes Top-20 bestseller (2015), been honoured with numerous awards from the Arts Council England Award, Sena album award, to the Sephardic Music award. Further, Vazana has shared stages with legendary artists including the great Bobby McFerrin.
Often compared to the likes of Nina Simone and Mercedes Sosa, Vazana is clearly a major voice and a force for good. Oh, and she gave us an a cappella too!
