Williams C Iheme is Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School, India. His research interests lie in the areas of contract, company, secured transactions, debtor and creditor law and how these private law topics intersect with human rights and public law. In this talk Catalin and Williams discuss how the current regulatory framework regarding consumer credit is actually shifting responsibility from the financial institutions to the consumer, who is expected to know and understand more complex financial products. Does disclosure provide an adequate response? Is the current consumer protection framework adequate to serve consumer needs? If not, what can be done to improve it? Answers in the podcast.
