His first novel, Ghosts of Manhattan, was a New York Times bestseller. He's best known for his position as CEO and president of the Florida-based security software company Authentium, Inc. He would leave the company a year later to focus on another passion of his: writing.

He is married to American journalist and media personality Megyn Kelly.
