Tia Lumarque is a Book Publisher and Author Consultant. You may not have heard her name, or that of her company, Order of the Bookish. After all, it only launched in the summer of 2022, as a company dedicated to supporting new and indie authors AND readers capable of fully producing and marketing your book. (Tia is also an author! And you can get her book, Books4Movies Movie Adaptations Mini Word Search Book: a Travel Pocket Size Word Search Puzzle Book for Bookish Fun!, here: https://a.co/d/305PQkp) "I must have done something right, because within a few of months, I was earning a full-time income and hiring on multiple part-time assistants and freelancers," Tia explains. "The company scaled faster than I knew what to do with. None of it was in my business plan! On a daily basis, I was making fast decisions. Some of it worked great, and some of it pushed me two steps back." The goal for the company is to take another big scaling step by working more directly and consistently with publishers and hybrid publishers so that their author clients have the opportunity to receive the same personalized and quality support and services that it offers to independent authors. "Ideally, this step will bring in more consistent income and build brand awareness throughout the entire publishing industry. In order to do that, though, I have to start doing podcasts and interviews and stop hiding behind my computer."
