As the Nazis take power in Germany and the Mosse family is forced to flee, Dr. Hilde Mosse lands in New York having nearly lost everything.. She finds her calling treating the mental health of Black youth – and the symptoms of a racist system. 'i see voices' is an extraordinary video-interview-magazine featuring creative people from all the different genres like movies, music, fashion, design and art. the reduced, filmic black and white-style of the videos goes perfectly together with the conceptional idea of the interviews: one single person talks about one single topic in a very unusual setting. no promotional talking - just personal points of view.

Yes, we are definetly kind of proud: This is probably the first ever REAL "talking-head-interview"! Mr Black Francis talks about one of the most intimate topics, mentioning his personal top ten of important body-parts, his favourite smell and sound - we nearly fell in love with him for so much openness...…
This time, famous painter NO, WAIT: famous AUTHOR T.C. Boyle talks about "luck". Or does he think out loud? Actually he asks and answers at the same time or talks to himself or I don´t know. We´ve been there, but somehow got confused by who is who in that conversation. Did you know that besides being a great painter OH NO: a great AUTHOR he also has huge talent in writing STOP: in painting? No? Neither did he before. We knew, but didn´t dare to ask... Or vice versa? But in the end we found out what Mr Boyle would do, if he could travel in time, why his leafes are more lucky than his neighbour´s and that the truth lies in fate. What more could you ask for? Well, a signed book NO: a signed PAINTING probably.....…
Everybody knows that Sven Väth is one of the pioneers in electronic dance-music, highly respected all over the world (probably more than in his home-country germany) and still an immense influence on young musicians. But very few people know that history could haven taken another path: at the start of his career, Sven Vaeth had to make an important decision. Please learn at iseevoices what that decision was about. sorry for all you english-speaking people out there, but this interview is in german only. But the speed of the pictures should leave you some time to read the subtitles...…
The german film-maker and actor Dani Levy brought us (among others) movies like "RobbyKallePaul", "Meschugge" and "Alles auf Zucker!". With "Mein Führer - Die wirklich wahrste Wahrheit über Adolf Hitler" he broke with probably the last tabu in german society: laughing about Adolf Hitler. In 1994 Levy founded the Production Company "X-Filme" together with Tom Tykwer, Wolfgang Becker and Stefan Arndt. Here you can learn how Levy trains himself in patience and persistence and what his fatherhood has to do with it.…
Jon Savage, former music-journalist and author of books like "England´s Dreaming" and "Teenage" and screenplay-writer of the Joy Division Documentary bends a bow from his very personal experience of violence and the history of scholl-shootings to the social-cultural consequences of war. No matter if he´s talking about the dschihad or just his personal taste of music - this man has an attitude and stands for it. We were deeply impressed by his temper and we felt reminded of the interview with Billy Bragg, who talked about how to turn your anger into something positive. Jon Savage definetly knows how....…
Dieter Kosslick, Director of the International Film Festival Berlinale, speaks to us about what he (probably) loves most: the taste of food - how it can lead you to a better life (or even a better world) and how it goes together with an overall understanding of aesthetic. this enthusiastic man builds a bridge from educational theories from the sixties to the leading heads behind the slow-food movements. please note the links - here´s a lot to learn!…
Wim Wenders is well-known and loved by many for his very own cinematic language. Think of a world without his movies and you will probably start crying. And even if not: his love for film and for music is unbeatable. Although he already had a long day of interviews when we met him, we finally found out, what he does inbetween the words. He thinks. The result is a deep insight into his definition of the term "speed" and - indeed - it seems that he didn´t leave out a single aspect....…
Billy Bragg, for many people the embodiment of the "angry young man", talks to us about anger - his very own, the world´s and the anger of people sitting in prison. Back from the eighties, when he supported the striking coal-miners, until now, Billy Bragg is one of the most ambitious and active musicians when it comes to fighting injustice and helping minorities. we were pretty impressed by his ability to talk in complete sentences at a time when other musicians do not even think about leaving the bed. This man throws out words as if they were sharp knifes and in fact they stick to your brain and accompany you through the day. Although it is not only highly recommended but simply good for your health to listen to Billy Bragg´s songs, he explains why listening to them is just not enough. please expect some hints on how to transform anger into something positive and which role Joe Strummer played in Bragg´s "jail guitar doors" project... and now start a revolution of your own.…
Knowing Markus Kavka foremost as a VJ on MTV, where people seem to constantly smile, be lucky and never sleep, we felt very honoured to meet his rather dark side (not just visually). Markus gave us an insight into his personal relation to the topic "suicide" and his activities within the organization "freunde fürs leben", fighting for a bigger acceptance of depression and it´s consequenzes in the society. Please watch, listen and experience what a scaringly short timespan 40 seconds can be...…

Adopting his passion for drawing she later became the chef-designer of H&M in 1987 after working in Italy and Sweden. Please learn what influenced her from childhood to nowadays while watching her refreshing her skills in drawing...…
We met Raz Ohara somewhere far away from nowhere. After showing us how to control the world´s sound, the berlin-based musician first refused to know anything about isolation. That caused frozen raindrops falling from the sky (we should have been warned by raz showing up so well prepared cloth-wise) but when his memory returned and he decided to open up a bit more - the sky just did the same. we never again experienced an interview where the weather went so well with the spoken words...…
