Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. stopGOstop is a podcast that explores the idea that sound recordings can act as sediment — an accumulation of recorded cultural material — distributed via rss feed, and listened to on headphones. Each episode is a new sonic layer, incorporating field recordings, plunderphonics, and electroacoustic sound, all composed together in one episode or, alternately, presented individually as striations.
