Your Church Friends Podcast was started in hopes of helping Christians and non-Christians alike see God, Jesus, and the church through a Biblical lens. My name is Steve Weaver. I am a church historian with a PhD in Church History. Along my academic and spiritual journey I have been blessed with God with many friendships that have made an impact on me. I want to host conversations on this channel with some of my friends who happen to be church historians. We'll talk about how we met, how our lives and academic careers have intersected, and discuss history. Hopefully, others will find it interesting, but, regardless, I will enjoy it!

Speaker: Jeff Jarvis It’s human nature, isn’t it, to try to explain why certain things happen in our lives? To hope that in the end, life is fair? We want to believe that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. It seems every religious system has its way of explaining how this happens. In the Christian tradition heaven and hell have served…
